There were surprisingly few people in our neighborhood that were setting off fireworks this weekend. We heard a couple of booms but they weren’t close enough to scare our dog, which made me happy. A few weekends ago our neighbors across the street set off fireworks over our house and our dog was in the bathroom shaking for hours. My last dog didn’t do this—she was scared but as long as she had someone with her she acted like normal. I’m sorry for people with more than one dog like mine or suffer PTSD. July 4 must be horrible.
