The question of what books would you have if you were on a stranded island (and all its variants) is always a little weird because it’s presuming you got stranded here by accident due to a wreck or something, so why would you be sitting here reading when you need to be out there surviving and trying to get off the island and such. I mean, right?
Anyway, so I’m going to presume that some rich fellow built himself a 6 figure house in a lonely tropical island filled to the gills with food and drinks and you rented it out for the week or two. With that age in mind, I can feel much better in asking myself this question:
Which 7 books would I want with me to a deserted tropical island?
- The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien
- Nick Jan’s’ books (if I’m able to lump one author’s books together, that is.)
- The Call of the Wild and White Fang by Jack London
- Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White
- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling
- Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
- Tuesdays With Morrie by Mitch Albom
No reason, just because I like these books. I’m sure I’d change it depending on my mood, I always do.
