On the Celebrity Crushes.

Aaron over at The Confusing Middle blog talked about his celebrity and first (real life) crush over on his blog. Of course, being the copycat blogger that I’ve been lately, I thought this was an interesting topic to write about so I decided to write my own blog post about it.

I was ten or eleven years old (or thereabouts) when Titanic was first released in theaters. At the time, I was going through a major Titanic obsession, checking books out from the school library and the like. So when this movie came out, my parents decided to take me to see it. Most likely my dad first, because my mom doesn’t usually go to the movie theaters.

From the first moment onward, I was enthralled. Kate Winslet was beautiful, Billy Zane was delightfully horrible, and Leonardo DiCaprio was…beautiful.

Yes, I admit it, I was in love with DiCaprio from the moment I laid eyes on him. He was tall, handsome, and the apple of my eye. We went on to see the movie many, many more times and I didn’t even complain about it, because I loved watching him.

Of course, nowadays, he’s made of for dating young women between 18-25 and that’s a little bit creepy in of itself, but as an actor, I think he’s brilliant.

As for my first real life crush, I really liked this guy from 4-6 grade named Adam. He was around 5’6” at the time with dark hair and a baby face. I liked him a lot and everyone seemed to know it for some reason. I still don’t know how they knew as I wasn’t popular back then.

But none of these crushes matter anymore since, I’m married to my handsome man, who is also named Adam (not the Adam from elementary school, thank goodness–that guy turned out to be especially weird.) My husband is my love and no one else can compare to him in looks. 🙂

So, what about you, what were your first crushes–both celebrity and real life?
