I think most places have gone back to normal it seems. A lot of people don’t wear masks anymore unless you’re going to the doctor’s office or the hospital.
For myself, I feel like I’m mostly back to normal, but I’m a little more cautious around crowds these days. It didn’t used to bother me as much, but now if somewhere is crowded, I just stay long enough to do what I came to do and leave. This year, we’ve been going to the new fitness center in town and it’s been fun but as more people are beginning to use it, the less room there is to stay away from people. I strongly feel that I got sick because there were too many people there and someone was carrying the cold and flue germs that made me sick twice within a week of each other. We went to the fitness center on Sunday and there was quite a few people there so I decided to get on one of the bicycles as far away as possible. I do that in other places too. If there’s a lot of people, I go do my thing in another part of the store and find stuff until the other part is empty. Or if I’m at the bookstore, I go to a less crowded area.
I’ve always loved being outside, but now these days, I prefer to be outside with my dog and husband. If we want to get food from a restaurant or fast food place, we order it and take it to the park or eat it at home. Usually.
When the pandemic first started, I didn’t check any books out at the library to take home during the shut down because I was afraid that someone had covid and touched the books. Not to mention I was trying to plan my wedding in the middle of the pandemic and it was a stressful time to be reading.
Otherwise, my routines have been pretty much normal. I don’t socialize much, I don’t go out to eat much, I pretty much stay home and go to work. The only people I spend quality time with is my husband and dog. If that makes my life sad and limited, then so be it, because they are the only beings other than some close family members that I want to be with. I’m sure people with more prominent health concerns are still acting cautiously, but I’m still pretty healthy, so there’s that.
